Experience

A regional perspective.
A practical approach.

A study of folded paper, light and perspective

I’m Yasser Akram. My career spans more than 25 years in media, advertising and agency leadership across the Middle East and North Africa.

Today, I lead Seven Brands’ regional business, including Egypt. My work brings together business growth, senior client relationships, creative quality and the people and operations behind them.

Based in Dubai, with Cairo a major operating centre, I work across markets where local understanding matters as much as international perspective.

My background includes global agency networks and independent agencies, with particular experience in destination brands, telecommunications and technology.

What matters to me.

A few principles that shape how I think about brands, businesses and the work we put into the world.

Clarity before complexity.

I value a clear point of view, a well-defined problem and an honest understanding of the audience. Good strategy should help people make decisions.

Consistency builds a brand.

Relevance matters. So does knowing what a brand stands for. I am interested in the balance between cultural relevance, commercial ambition and a consistent identity.

Technology should earn its place.

I use AI to sharpen thinking, accelerate research and make room for better work. The measure is practical value, with human judgement at the centre.
